Terms of Service

By creating an account or using any part of the UPEO Academy platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms form a binding contract between you and Upeosoft Limited ("UPEO Academy", "we", "us").

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or guardian. By using the platform, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account. You may not use another person's account or create accounts for the purpose of reselling access or circumventing restrictions. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Free courses: Access is granted immediately upon enrolment and is lifetime. Paid courses: You must complete payment before accessing content. Payment is processed through our payment partners; UPEO Academy does not store card details. Course access is personal and non-transferable. You may not share your login credentials or course content with others.

You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase, provided you have not watched more than 10% of the course content. To request a refund, email support@upeo.academy with your name, order reference, and reason. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method. There are no refunds on courses where a certificate has already been issued.

All course content — including videos, text, graphics, quizzes, and code examples — is the intellectual property of UPEO Academy or the respective instructors, and is protected by copyright. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view and use course content for your own learning. You may not: • Download, copy, or redistribute course videos or materials • Share your account access with others • Use content for commercial purposes without written permission • Create derivative works from course materials Your user-generated content (comments, quiz answers) remains yours, but you grant us a licence to display it on the platform.

You agree not to: • Post or upload content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, or deceptive • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or access our systems beyond normal use • Impersonate instructors, staff, or other learners • Use the platform to distribute spam or unsolicited communications • Interfere with the platform's operation or other users' experience We reserve the right to remove any content and terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.

Certificates are awarded automatically based on verified completion of course requirements. They attest to course completion on our platform; they do not confer academic qualifications or professional licences unless otherwise stated. Certificates may not be issued for courses where evidence of academic dishonesty is detected (e.g. multiple accounts completing a quiz to share answers).

The platform and its content are provided "as is". While we strive for accuracy, we do not warrant that course content is free of errors or is suitable for any specific professional purpose. Learning outcomes depend on each learner's effort and context. UPEO Academy does not guarantee employment outcomes as a result of completing any course.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UPEO Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes that affect courses you have already purchased. We are not liable for changes made in good faith.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya, unless you have the benefit of consumer protection laws in your country that provide otherwise.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or platform notice of significant changes. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
